Information about Moodle for new students

Do students at Kwantlen get Moodle information about getting started with the Moodle program when they sign up for one of our online courses?

Answer

When students register in an online or partially online course, they receive the following automated message :

Welcome [Student Name - name is generated] You are registered for the fully or partially online course listed below. The link below will take you to your course website. Log in with your nine digit student number and your PIN (this is the same one you use for web registration). You can also use the myCourses tab in the myKwantlen student portal to access your courses (https://my.kwantlen.ca/)

If you see the message: “ This course is currently unavailable to students”, try logging in again closer to the start date of the course. Please note that your instructors will use only your myKwantlen email address for course communication. If you choose not to use the myKwantlen mail system, it is your responsibility to forward your mail to another address. To forward your mail, find the Email icon in myKwantlen and click the Options tab.
