Scenario

The instructor wants to edit a question (from a question bank) that is currently being used in a quiz. There has already been student attempts made in the quiz. Can I make changes to the question? How will this affect students who has already attempted the quiz?

Solution

Yes, you can change the order of questions, regrade them, preview an individual question and click on a question edit link that will allow you to directly edit the question stored in the question bank. All changes will be reflected on the quiz, so be extremely careful if you must do this.

If you made a mistake in the answer to the question, you can change that also. For those students who have made attempts already, you can "regrade" the quizzes to reflect the changes.

However, you cannot add or remove questions from the quiz once there has been student attempts made.
